Did I give Him a big hug?

I'm lying with Meredith in her rocking chair. I kissed her goodnight and said, "I love you, Meredith.....And Jesus loves you." She responded,  "Mommy, did I give Him a big hug when He made me?"   What a sweet 3 year old girl.  -God saw what he had made and it was good.  -God made her in His image -Meredith is fearfully and wonderfully made It's almost like Meredith, even in her 3 year old mind, recognizes that she is such a miracle that she would want to wrap her arms around Jesus in a big hug when he made her in His image.

D*!% that is COLD!

Paul just told me a funny story.  Yesterday (Sept 24th) Ben decided to jump into our swimming pool, which we hadn't been heating for a few weeks.  We opened up the pool cover and when I felt it, it was COLD.  In typical Benny style, he ripped off his shirt and bombed into the deep end in his shorts and undies.  I wasn't there to witness that part.  When he came up from the water he said... Daaamn, that is COOOOLD!!! Paul:   Benny, what did you say? Ben:   DAMN, that is COLD! Paul:  Ben, that is a bad word! Ben:   Well it doesn't seem like a bad word.... And then he bombed back into the deep end.  Benny always says the funniest things.  :)

MN Summers...nothing better

Just like that, it's Labor Day and another MN summer has come to a close.  I am not so good at blogging these days...I guess we are too busy *living* so there is no time to journal about it.  :)  This summer could not have been more perfect.  We didn't sign up for a SINGLE activity and so we had a stress-free summer filled with only the things we chose to do, when we chose to do them.  Benny and I started to write down all of the fun things we have been doing, and we are on our fourth sticky note.  To name a few: --We enjoyed numerous days on the lakes this summer.  One on Lake Andrew with the Quinn family which included tubing for all the kids for the first time.  We also were fortunate to go out on Green Lake with our friends, the Engebretsons, numerous times.  We pontooned, swam, ate at Zorbaz, mom swam a mile alongside the pontoon in training for her Green Lake Triathlon, we paddle-boarded, and rode the Seadoo.  So much fun!
