The kids experienced a few new things during the week of Feb 11-15, 2019. It was our first real family vacation, their first time flying, and their first time seeing the ocean! It was SO MUCH FUN. I was constantly impressed by their resilience during imperfect travel conditions, their courage on the plane, their ability to go without food and sleep at times, their lack of complaint when we were stuck outside at Kennedy Space Center in cold and rainy weather with not nearly enough clothes, and their being "game" for just about anything. It was so, so cool to see them experience the ocean for the first time and the airplane for the first time. Below are some pictures from our time in New Smyrna Beach, FL at the Islander Beach Resort. Mer won a "tropical trophy" for her sandcastle Sand Dunes Toni and Joe's for lunch Jellyfish! We bought a pass to drive on the beach for the day!
