I will let the pictures tell my story


So tired after celebrating Mother's day in Richmond
I looked back through the past few weeks of pictures on my camera and realized there are a few sweet pictures to share.  Instead of writing an individual blog post for each experience, I am going to just share the pictures and let the pictures tell the stories.  Enjoy!

Mom was not in tune with Benny's needs on this particular afternoon b/c he obviously needed to nap so badly that he found a blankie and laid down under the kitchen table to sleep.

Ben and I were shopping for some “ugly Christmas sweaters” at Goodwill a week ago. Before we got very far, we were stopped by a woman, maybe in her early 60’s, and she said to Ben,”I LOVE your style!!  Is that all you..?” And then she looked at me questioning if I had dressed him - you know, like I was a mom who dictated my son’s clothing choices. Funny (!) since most moms who dictate their kids’ clothing choices would choose much of the opposite of what Ben wears. 😉.  She thought maybe I was the creative genius. 😁 I assured her it was all Ben. And then she turned to him and said, “Don’t ever change. Keep having your own style. I just LOVE it!”  ❤️

What a year....2020

 My posts these days are few and far between.  Maybe it's because life is busy.  Or because I'm working more.  Or because, as always, I find it hard to keep up with all the moments that I want to etch in my memory and so I get overwhelmed trying to document them here.  Or maybe, just maybe, it could have something to do with 2020 being an absolutely wild and unprecedented year!  Despite it all, we are thriving, still smiling, still laughing, still fighting (I guess a lack of fighting would be cause for concern among 3 kids, right?), and we are definitely still counting our blessings.  My friend Julie and I say multiple times a day "Jesus take the wheel."  :)   Spring 2020 quarantine couldn't have been more awesome.  The weather was gorgeous, the kids were thrilled to be home and playing outside, and we spent almost everyday clearing out our woods, burning (my favorite past time, as many people know), and golfing in our yard and at t...
