Luke stuff

Luke is growing up.  His vocabulary is large.  He loves to have conversations with people.  His little mind is always working.  This morning he came out of his room and said to me "Mom, I just turned my light off.  I turned it on for a little bit, then I just turned it off.  Because it costs money to have the lights on."  My little guy.  Love him for listening and obeying, turning off his light on his own without me having to ask, and making the correlation (or even if he is just repeating what I say) that it costs money to have the lights on.

A few days ago we were reading a Busytown book about 'everyone being a worker.'  The book asked "What does your dad do?"  So I asked Luke that question and he said,

"I don't know.  Tell me."

Me:  No, you know.  Where does daddy work?
Luke:  Rambow!
Me:  Yep.  What does he do there?
Luke:  I don't know.  Tell me."
Me:  He sells clothes.  Now, (reading the book) What does your mommy do?
Luke:  I don't know.  Tell me.
Me:  No, you tell me.
Luke:  Sells clothes.
Me:  No, silly!  Your daddy sells clothes.  What do I do?
Luke:  You wash clothes.

Good call, Lukey.  Daddy sells clothes.  Mommy washes clothes.  :)
