I'm going to love this blogging stuff. Here are some picture of the boys. Luke loves being a big brother. The minute I put Ben in the high chair Luke pulls up his chair and brings over toys so they can start playing together. Luke also gives Ben tons of kisses and notifies us immediatlely if Ben has spit up (which happens often lately). If we are in the car, I will pass back a burp cloth to Luke and he will gently (or sometimes not so gently) wipe off Ben's face and clothes. It's nice to have a little helper. Luke is also great at tuning Ben out, thankfully, since Ben hates his car seat. Last night Paul asked me if I thought it was a good idea to get ear plugs for the car rides.
Ben has finally found something to pacify him, other than nursing that is. He won't take a Nuk, but he now sucks on his hand. Maybe a thumb sucker on the way??!! Yesterday he was on his back on the floor, rolled over, layed his head down, and started sucking on his hand. The next time I looked over he was asleep! This is amazing for a boy who normally cries and cries and cries when he is tired b/c he can't get himself to sleep. On a similar note about Ben crying, last night at Paul's softball game, Grandpa Dave was holding Ben as he was fussing. Someone asked about Ben and Grandpa Dave said, "He's a little fussy now. He's been fussing like this pretty much his whole life." !! I thought he was going to say "the entire night" but nope, Grandpa Dave truthfully said he's been fussing like this pretty much HIS ENTIRE LIFE! Sorry, Ben. Thankfully you've only been alive 4.5 months. Hopefully we won't be saying the same thing when you are 40 years old.
LOVING your blog! I love to read about your life and seeing lots of pictures of the fam. Wish we lived closer together! Luke looks like such a big boy, much older than 2 1/2.
