A weekly recap

I can't believe it has been a week since I posted on my blog.  In the past week a lot has gone on (nothing really noteworthy, but I will notate it regardless).
**I broke our wooden spanking spoon (banking boon, as Luke calls it) so Luke was hoping to be off the hook for spankings.  We told him we'd get a new spanking spoon and he said he thought we should get an orange one.  Interesting.
**He also snuck into our room at 11pm one night when Paul and I were reading.  He crawled in bed with us and then told me to go get his pillow.  He was staying.  The next morning I asked him where he was sleeping that night (we'd informed him he could sleep with us ONE night but then had to be back in his bed).  He thought for a minute and as I waited for him to say "I'm staying in your bed, momma" he actually said, "I stay with Dono."  Donovan Laib is Paul's best friend from Mpls.  I'm not sure where that came from, but Luke was going to sleep at Dono's that night.
**Auntie Christi came over with Jonathan and Elizabeth yesterday and Luke had a hard time sharing with Lizzy.  Whatever she had, he wanted.  She had is baseball bat and he tried to wrestle it out of her grip.  When she didn't let go, he put his arms around her from behind (like he was going to crack her back) and took her to the ground with him.  I pulled him off, mortified, and he proceeded to get up and hit Lizzy.  We went to his bedroom to talk about it and for a spanking.  He said, "Banking Boon broken momma.  No banking!"  But I informed him we had a spare.  He got a light spanking and thankfully apologized to Lizzy.
**We also got together for Grandpa Ernie's birthday.  What a fun night with all the kids and grandkids.
**Ben is eating and loving pears and getting introduced to the sippy cup (there is nothing in it, I'm just setting it in front of him to familiarize him with it).  He is still sucking away on his two middle fingers, which provides him comfort, and therefore provides the entire family comfort.  :)  He is a snuggly boy.  He will sit with Paul or me for up to an hour and just hang out if we are watching TV, etc.  Luke would sit still for maybe a minute at the most at that age.  It is fun to have a snuggler.
