Goodbye Cottonwood
We recently cut down a huge Cottonwood tree that was wreaking havoc on the entire neighborhood (rumor has it, the cotton from the tree contributed to the demise of our pool). Normal cost for this service, based on the size of the tree - $1000-2000. Yikes. But a friend of Paul's dad who is in this business wanted to do it for just $170. He worked on it for 3 days. Luke and I watched it come down from the kitchen window. It was so loud it sounded like a freight train, or maybe an earthquake. Luke looked shocked. He finally found his little voice and just said "wow." He had a blast playing with the wreckage.
