Many Milestones

It's been quite a week.  Ben's milestones:  1) He has 2 teeth and I think a top tooth is about to join the bottom two.  2) He has also started saying "ba ba ba ba" and we are working on "ma ma ma ma."  :)  3) In addition, he is getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth as though he might start to crawl at any moment.  4) He sits up perfectly and grabs anything within his reach, and tries for anything outside of his reach, too.  5) He wants to eat solids and has tried a ritz cracker, a rice krispie or two, a mashed banana, and a few spoonfuls of Paul's potato soup!

I must admit, he loves his mama best (as he should, right!) and when others are holding him they often  turn him away from me so I am out of his sight.  Otherwise he will whine until I take him.  Luke is such a great big brother.  He brings Ben toys and teaches him how to use them.  Yesterday Luke brought his drums up to the kitchen to play for Ben.  After he played for a while, he put the drumstick in Ben's hand and helped him pound the drum.

Luke's milestones:  1) He started asking the infamous "why" after everything we say.  2) He can almost say the alphabet.  3) He knows so many letters and when he sees an "L" he says "L is for me, mama."  4) His vocabulary is growing by leaps and bounds.

I hope Luke's next milestone involves me no longer having to buy diapers!
